Alex McCormack doesn't like going to the club. She only goes because her mum works there. It's not as if her mum stops at six o'clock, either. Oh no. Her mum is always doing extra for Mrs Fryston and now she's agreed to type up some confidential reports. Alex has a peep at her own and can't believe what she reads. Anti-social? Not a good mixer? That does it! She always knew her mum loved her dead brother Daniel more than her and that just proves it. Well, she'd show her and Mrs Fryston a thing or two...
'This is the third book in the series and I'm sooo addicted. Alex thinks her mum doesn't understand her so she starts showing everyone how bad she can really be. I can totally relate to Alex. I'm lending this book to all my mates.'

Actually, Alex and Jolene were never going to be main characters. I had planned the third book in the series to be based on Reggie Glazzard and the fourth book Sam Riley. Just as I was about to start on Reggie, my publisher rang to say they thought as the first two books had been about girls, it would be better to continue having girls. Trouble was, I'd made Alex a bit mean. Now I had to explore what had made her that way.
